Well Done Bob
The 12th September saw a keen field of 100 competitors assemble in Fowey ready to face the challenge of the 25th Fowey Triathlon. Swimming from Town Quay to Polruan, cycling from Polruan to Lostwithiel and then running from Lostwithiel back to Fowey is not for the faint hearted. This year May Whetter & Grose were delighted to be able to sponsor Bob Grose, the son of the late Nick Grose, one of our founders, who completed the course in a very creditable 2 hours 54 minutes.
Bob was raising money for Restless Development a charity assisting young people in developing countries. Bob said he thoroughly enjoyed taking part and paid tribute to Fowey River Lions for the excellent way in which the event was organized. Congratulations Bob – here’s to next year!
